Rinse thoroughly with water and pat dry using a clean, soft cloth. Rubies are very durable with a hardness of 9 on the Mohs scale (Diamond is 10) but should be stored separately in your jewellery box to avoid scratches from Diamonds or scratching softer gemstones.
