Silver freeform curved bangle

A sterling silver solid freeform curved bangle featuring 5 x 3mm round Garnets, 3 at one end and 2 at the other terminal. This hallmarked bangle comprises 3mm sterling silver wire measuring approximately 27cm in length and weighs 17.8gms.

The sterling silver bracelet is handmade in our Norfolk workshop and features a full set of UK hallmarks which have been struck at the London Assay Office.

There is some give in the bangle, so it can be gently opened or closed to create a slightly wider or narrower gap.

Highly prized and used in Anglo Saxon and Celtic tribal jewellery, garnets were believed to have the power to protect the wearer from harm. More recently Garnets were traditionally exchanged between friends to offer protection and as tokens that they would meet again.

Care for your gemstone

Garnets are very durable and reasonably scratch resistant rated at 6.5-7.5 on the gemstone hardness scale. However, care should be taken to avoid dropping on to a hard surface.

Occasionally wash gently with warm soapy water. Avoid contact with solvent or petrolium based cleaning products.
