Care for your gemstone

Made from fossilised tree resin, amber is one of the lightest and softest organics with a rating of between 2 and 3 on the gemstone hardness scale. Sensitive to heat, sunlight and chemicals including perfume and hairspray, your Amber earrings should be removed before taking a shower.

To care for your Amber, gently clean using a soft cloth dampened with lukewarm water, carefully dry, lightly polish with clear olive oil, remove excess oil and restore the polish with another soft cloth.

Store your Amber earrings in a cool, dry place in a soft cloth or velvet pouch and away from other jewellery where it can rub against other pieces, especially metal.
